PRUNING and PINCHING
Because of lack of adequate light and often because of a natural tendency in that direction,
plants such as geraniums, fuchsias, and begonias become tall and spindly.
This unsightly appearance may be eliminated partially by pruning the plants regularly and pinching out the growing points in
the early stages of growth. Use quality gardening tools to maintain your plants. A bushy, stocky in
the bottom of such containers with subsequent damage to the plants. If the receptacle is regularly
emptied and the pot is placed on something which holds it off the bottom of the jardiniere, the danger
of injury is lessened.
One or two inches of charcoal or gravel,
or an inverted dish underneath the pot will provide the drainage necessary.
